Life is perception – perception is art. (A. Hoefler)

Vita Alfred Hoefler

Born: 1958 in Seefeld/Tyrol, Austria

Alfred Hoefler began processing the impressions of the Tyrolean mountain landscape through drawing and painting as a child. Early on, his strong connection to the elements of earth, fire, water, air, wood, and metal became evident. These natural forces had a profound influence on his work, leading him to deeply explore and experiment with natural materials and their expressive possibilities.

Over the course of his artistic development, Hoefler increasingly turned to abstract and immaterial dimensions. In addition to working with physical materials, he began exploring the invisible digital space as an extension of his creative practice.

In the following years, he exhibited his works – including paintings and sculptures – in group exhibitions while simultaneously advancing the construction of a house with a permaculture garden in the Dordogne (France). This retreat now allows him to fully dedicate himself to his artistic work.

Since 2018, Alfred Hoefler has focused with renewed intensity on creating large-scale paintings and sculptures. His works combine the colors and impressions of nature with the depiction of archetypal emotions and experiences. Through a powerful, symbolic visual language, “soul images” emerge, making the invisible tangible and inviting viewers to discover their own feelings within the works.

Hoefler’s art is characterized by a dynamic interplay between inner and outer perception. His works offer each viewer a unique experience – a dialogue in which the boundaries between art and observer increasingly dissolve.

Leben ist Wahrnehmung – Wahrnehmung ist Kunst. (A.Hoefler)

Vita Alfred Hoefler

Geboren: 1958 in Seefeld/Tirol, Österreich
